I did...I can't believe I missed this challenge. I didn't see the email. This is an area that I have had direct experience. A few years ago I was on a cycling race team. Our team did 100 kms races and the biggest challenge was to get our nutrition and hydration right. Too little and you bonked, wrong mix and you under-performed. I don't recall all the nutritional/hydration guidelines but during training we were expected to know what our numbers were. For example, our coach would ride with us and we were monitored for calories, carbs & proteins, electrolytes, fluids of intake as we rode. The ratios could vary depending on the ride, duration and goals for the day. The before exercise and after exercise were considered just as important. Something I will always remember our coach said was that after a hard day of endurance exercise if you are starving, you blew it. It means you didn't give your body the necessary nutrition before, during or after your workout. To this day I keep these in mind. I have done some research but I did rely on my coach.

As for chocolate milk, it wasn't on our list of drinks but I know many who train hard believe this to be an acceptable beverage. Our gym which is a huge facility had chocolate milk available but it was removed about 6 months ago. I'll have to find out why. It was never my choice as I felt there were far better options. Depending on the type of workout ingesting BCAA after exercise is beneficial in reducing stiffness, soreness. It's what I believe but again I have relied on others who are recognized as experts. I want to thank you especially for doing this challenge and I am kicking myself for not being a participant.Rosemary Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12291661159622665464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4953008377950396317.post-11455821910950140532016-09-07T20:16:22.792-07:002016-09-07T20:16:22.792-07:00the following is just plain generic babble…
