The first two links did not work for ...Yes, thanks. The first two links did not work for me but I think I got where I needed to be. Wikipedia is a far richer resource than I realized. (Why don’t they tell us about this?) It is daunting to see so much unknown knowledge out there. I recently heard a physicist say it is “invigorating” to have such big discoveries yet to be made. I need to find someone who wants to hear me retell these non-transitory stories. As the mathematician said, “Je n'ai pas le temps. Je n'ai pas le temps.»

Per Dr. Russell’s suggestion, I searched [news site mathematics] and was amazed at the quantity and variety of news on this topic, most of which will not make it to the mainstream press. Then I did some searches [news site “country name”] for four European countries I plan to visit soon. That yielded interesting results so I dug deeper: [news site “city name”]. The results here gave a lot of local color, tidbits which do not appear in the news services such as the NYT and the Guardian. One example is that a certain city is not allowing animal circuses to rent public space. That tells me something about that city’s residents. I am equally interested to see what American news makes it across the pond. I cannot even begin to do credibility checking but this serves my purposes for now.
Mathladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05805035115941387152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4953008377950396317.post-88736815304533840492022-02-14T12:45:57.977-08:002022-02-14T12:45:57.977-08:00while looking at Dan's Wiki point… might be of...while looking at Dan's Wiki point… might be of interest to MathLady…?
overview - contents
math & logic contents
portal
meta wikiremmijhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17985809654574916217noreply@blogger.com
