I just found this. I didn't keep caref...Hi Dan,
I just found this. I didn't keep careful track of the time, but I would guess it was around 10 min. I found a web page (http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/p/m/1f05fa/) containing a different image of the same thing with the following caption: "If you go to the observation point at the Belvedere, overlooking the Waal road bridge, you'll see this lovely floral display of the Nijmegen Coat of Arms." I guess that answers how it was taken. Well, I should add that it is in the Dutch city of Nijmegen.

I first used search-by-image on Google image search, but that was no help. Then I added search terms to that and examined pages about coats of arms. I didn't see any that were an exact match, but I started doing searches using the names of countries whose coats of arms were similar. I tried Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands and the 3rd was the charm.

Finally, using the query { coat-of-arms netherlands flowers } I found a picture of a postcard with an image of the same display. That was on this page: http://postmuse.blogspot.com/2012_08_26_archive.html. Then, to make sure that I had the correct location, I did a simple Google web search with the query { Nijmegen coat of arms flowers }. The 2nd result had what I was after and another image of the floral coat-of-arms.

I never did run across the exact image that you showed.

- Byron
Polluxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16525552843475562170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4953008377950396317.post-62740830024141378362012-12-26T15:02:52.721-08:002012-12-26T15:02:52.721-08:00Nijmegen, the Netherlands
