Thanks, Dr. Russell and MIT Press! and congratulations. One step closer to have your book in our hands. I am sure the people who assisted the ALA Conference had a fantastic time talking to you and listening your conference and touching the book.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy we can start reading: The Joy of Search!
I love the chapter. It is Dr. Russell 100%! And love that it guides us step by step. I felt like being doing the Challenge together. Loved the parts like Voila!, the Search Lessons, the details to replicate the Challenge, the tips and tricks and the How To.
DeleteIn this chapter, was new for me to learn that flip and rotate are different. Looking forward to have the book in my hands and keep increasing The Joy of Search
Just to share with you this article in Spanish. This creature made me remember the Parrot Fish Challenge Lithoreda abanatica: Eats rocks and produce sand
DeleteThis is the first challenge on your blog I ever tried. But the chapter needs proofreading - second line from the bottom on p. 13 "luck"......
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know. This is a "reader's copy / uncorrected proof." And this is exactly WHY! I'll fix it before press...
DeleteYay. It's on my personal "to buy" list and we'll be getting a copy for our high school library too. Can't wait!
DeleteDan, The Warsaw Challenge was also my first try. Well designed book, typeface, spacing, illustrations. On that same page 13 'I ALSO' seems awkward, i'd suggest lowercase for the ALSO. I had never thought about the rotate/flip question before but I found flip hiding under the heading of Rotate in Picpick.
ReplyDeleteI need to find some cool jazz to play with it. jon
Breaking News 27 June at Mashable: Google Maps is the new search destination. Seems it is providing a lot of information now beyond just maps. jon
