SearchResearch is taking a week off!

 Every so often...

... one needs a break.  So this week, I'm off in Hawai'i enjoying a dive trip with a few friends.  Here are a couple of photos of my piscine friends...

Back next week.

Keep searching.  (I will leave it to you to identify the kinds of fish shown in the photos.)

Not a fish, but roll with it.  What makes those electric blue pentagonal patterns?

    "BLUE-LINED LONG-SPINE URCHIN
Locally abundant on reefs with good water circulation. Spines black in adults, juveniles tend to be a mixture of unbanded white and brown spines, always with neon blue lines. Test attains 3 inches, spines 8 inches. Thin venomous spines protected by thicker primary spines. Red Sea to Okinawa and Easter Island. It appears to be an accidental introduction to Hawaii after the 1990's."

    1. The long spine sea urchins are plentiful, but they may/may-not be an accidental introduction. Do I smell a future SRS Challenge?
